Happy Aloha Friday!

Hello and TGIF!  I came across this one, Happy Aloha Friday, and since I used to live in and LOVE Hawaii... I thought I would do something new while 'Eye Girl' is on hiatus for her wedding this month.

Wanna join in the fun? Post your own question on your blog and leave your link at the Aloha Friday post at An Island Life. Then you can visit the other participants if you wish...It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends or see what people are thinking about this week and join in a conversation or two if you like.

Here is my question:  If you could do anything at all this weekend, money is no object however it's only something you can do in 2 days and get back to work and real life on Monday.  So what would you do?

My answer:  I would fly to Chicago, see my son and spend the weekend on a beach along Lake Michigan.

Now for my regular Half Full Friday followers, here is what I'm Happy for this week:
  • I am happy that I got my dining room, kitchen and entry redecorated! It's more sophisticated and I like the new look.
  • I am very happy that my son called people, all on his own, and handled something very important to him! So proud of him AGAIN!
  • I am happy that I was able to accomplish some of my personal goals this week!
  • I am very happy to have family around again! :-)
  • I am happy it's going to cool down this weekend!

  4. If I would be given the chance then I would fly over to see my family too. It seems like you really miss your son. I love the quotations- we studied that quote in humanities during college years and it says that when we finally find the source of happiness that we can be contented and that happiness should root from God so that your search would be purposeful and doesn't look for it in material things.

  7. You have a great happy list! I love it! Those are all really happy things.

If I could go anywhere, and travel time is instantaneous too, I think I would like to roam through some really old place. Maybe somewhere in Europe. Maybe Rome. And eat good chocolate. :)

  12. Hi Coreen, and thanks for visiting my blog! We seem to have a few hings in common. In his job, my husband works with people with Asperger's. As for the power of prayer, I run our church's prayer and information line, which I record several times a day and people can call a phone number to listen to the latest. I run it from my home. Your blog seems to be a very encouraging, uplifting site. We all need to lift people up and be cheerleaders!!! This is one of my strongest beliefs. I have signed on to follow you, see you later!

  17. Hi Coreen! Wow, I really loved those quotes you've posted there, especially the last one. Oh so true! Thank you! I also appreciate your optimism. It teaches me to be humble and grateful for the little things I have in my life.

I'm happy that we are no longer suffering bouts of humidity! (Bleh)

I'm happy that we are still taking advantage of the summer vacation--I get to have all my kidlets with me.

I'm so every happy that my soon to be 14 year old girl loves her family so much, she's a joy to have a round. *sigh*

I'm so happy that my hubbie has been given full reign of his store--the opportunity to prove himself worthy for a promotion. And he is soooo much happier for it. ;)

I am happy to have met you. I'd love to get to know you better!

Thank you for dropping by my blog!
You have a great weekend, too!!

  20. You have a nice list and seem to enjoy and feel blessed by so much, and that is good. Time is often more precious than money, but if I could do anything this weekend, it would be retreat down some river in a canoe and listen to nature as I let the sound of flowing water calm my soul... But, I had to work both days.

  21. saw your comment on my blog re spring cleaning. it made me laugh. do you think we could open a store to just sell cleaning items? had to stop project to help 2 different friends so the task isn't done. sad to say that if i could hire someone tp finish this job i might be happy. the real thing is i would love to go on a trip with the hubby to Charleston s.c. have a good Sunday. rose
