Half Full Friday is a series of weekly posts that Eye Girl originally started in June 2009. Now the it is hosted by Sprinkles at Wyldechylde. We believe that a lot of our happiness is determined by our attitude about the things that happen to us. So by participating, we are deciding to see the glass as half full, instead of half empty. We are choosing to concentrate on the positives, instead of dwelling on the negatives. Our Half Full Friday posts are a way to do just that. They are a list of the things in our life that have brought us happiness over the past week. We are determined to find the something good in every day. Are you?“Dance as though no one is watching you. Love as though you have never been hurt before. Sing as though no one can hear you. Live as though heaven is on earth.” ~Author Unkown
"Happiness: Its all about Music, Love and Passion." ~Author Unknown
For the next week, we challenge you to keep a list of at least one thing that brought you happiness each day.
I'm Happy and Thankful for many things every day... especially this week:
- For all of the people that checked on me this week. Making sure I was OK, and NOT stuck in Scotland... (big smile and head shake) and for reminding me it wasn't my fault about the hacker. Thank you! I love you all very much!!!!
- For my son's job interviews and for the encouragement he received from so many wonderful people in his life!!!
- For all kinds and types of MUSIC in the World!
"I enjoy being happy every day, and hopefully you can hear my happiness in my music. Life is beautiful." ~Christina Milian, US Singer
It's also "ALOHA FRIDAY" Everyone!! If you want to join in the fun? Post your own question on your blog and leave your link at the Aloha Friday post at An Island Life. Then you can visit the other participants if you wish...It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends or see what people are thinking about this week and join in a conversation or two if you like.
"Music is well said to be the speech of angels; in fact, nothing among the utterances allowed to man is felt to be so divine. It brings us near to the infinite." ~Thomas CarlyleMy question: What song makes you appreciate life and love even more when you hear it?
"Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life." ~Red AuerbachMy answer: A recent one for me is: "If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away" by Justin Moore It gives me goosebumps every time I hear it and makes me want to go HUG everyone I Love right now!!
"I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music." ~Billy JoelHave a Fantastic Friday and Wonderful Weekend my Friends!
Hugs and Much Love to you All,
~ Coreen XO
For me it is a hymn that lifts my spirit - How great thou art! I sing it in my heart before I fall asleep!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many. Maybe, "Oh Come, Oh Come Emmanuel" or "Mary, Did You Know?" What I DO know is if you were ever stuck in Scotland, you probably would not e-mail me!
ReplyDeleteGreat choices! And this is true, Ginny! lol I wouldn't email either. I'd call one of my sons! :-)
ReplyDeleteVery inspiring Coreen. Loved the Hymn,
ReplyDeleteHave a good day.
Yvonne.
Thank you for the reminder. Yeah, I need to concentrate more on the positive. Blessings to you Coreen.
ReplyDeleteThankful I have a wonderful mother! And any song by Rush makes me feel better.
ReplyDeleteI can't think of a favorite off-hand. But I do know that music is a language that our souls recognize. It has a great power to comfort, heal, uplift, inspire, motivate--or quite the opposite. I really appreciate good music.
ReplyDeleteI do not have a favorite song.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Ginny - I figured if you really were stuck in Scotland, you wouldn't send out a mass email ;) Glad you really weren't stuck in Scotland - though if you had been, I would have joined you. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe song for me is "In My Daughter's Eyes" by Martina McBride. The words speak volumes, especially since they're so relate-able to my Miracle Girl. :)
Have a Happy Mother's Day, Coreen! :)
Aloha: Mother's Day
A happy list! Thanks for reminding us all of all the good in the world!
ReplyDeletePink Floyd's Wish you were here.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!

I dance and I don't care who is watching, I love pain so I love, and I only sing when NO one is listening. I am a compassionate person like that :)
ReplyDeleteSomewhere over the rainbow, of course!

I'm sorry I didn't host HFF last week. I had every intention of posting after I gor out of class but I just had such an awful day with everything that could going wrong that I didn't want my negativity creep in to what's supposed to be a positive post. I'll be back for sure this Friday though! I'll be done with school and will have a whole day to whatever my heart desires with no worries about school whatsoever!
