Half Full & Aloha Friday question

"Live with your whole being all the days of your life.  Your reward will be true happiness." ~Rebecca Thomas Shane
Half Full Friday is a series of weekly posts that Eye Girl originally started in June 2009.  Now the it is hosted by Sprinkles at Wyldechylde.  We believe that a lot of our happiness is determined by our attitude about the things that happen to us. So by participating, we are deciding to see the glass as half full, instead of half empty. We are choosing to concentrate on the positives, instead of dwelling on the negatives. Our Half Full Friday posts are a way to do just that. They are a list of the things in our life that have brought us happiness over the past week. We are determined to find the something good in every day. Are you?
"To live long and achieve happiness, cultivate the art of radiating happiness." ~Malcolm Forbes
For the next week, we challenge you to keep a list of at least one thing that brought you happiness each day.
I'm Happy and Thankful for many things every day... especially this week:
  • For attending a rally this week.  It was fun!
  • For a blogging honor, that I will write about later.
  • For beautiful weather and lots of time outside!
"Happiness is a grateful spirit, an optimistic attitude, and a heart full of love." ~Anonymous
It's also "ALOHA FRIDAY" Everyone!!  If you want to join in the fun? Post your own question on your blog and leave your link at the Aloha Friday post at An Island Life. Then you can visit the other participants if you wish...It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends or see what people are thinking about this week and join in a conversation or two if you like.
"The most wasted of all days is one without laughter." ~E E. Cummings
My question:  What makes you laugh?

My answer:  When I do silly things, usually from trying to do too much at once.  I've always been able to laugh at myself.   I think I'm hilarious... someone has to right?! LOL

Just so you know...

"Knowing comes from our experiences in life and taking responsibility for our own actions in order to learn the lessons." ~Me
www.fotosearch.com
This theme is borrowed from my good friend, Jules @ Trying to get over the Rainbow!  Many of you already know and love her too!  Thank you, Jules!!

Just so you know... understanding comes from experiences.
Just so you know... receptive people have open minds.
Just so you know... compassion comes from an open heart.
Just so you know... creativity comes from inspiration.
Just so you know... if you don't agree, still be respectful.
Just so you know... listening first is always wise.
Just so you know... not everyone has ulterior motives.
Just so you know... real friends are patient with you.
Just so you know... you shouldn't be friends with 'everyone'.
Just so you know... you can be kind without being friends.
Just so you know... no one knows everything about anyone.
Just so you know... the 'character' of a person is important.
Just so you know... we meet everyone for a 'reason'.
Just so you know... we can learn a lesson everyday.
Just so you know... we need rest to think clearly.
Just so you know... people know more than they say.
Just so you know... everyone needs to feel accepted.
Just so you know... everyone gets stronger with love.
Just so you know... you must Love yourself First.
Just so you know... you can't make someone Love you, anymore than you can make yourself Love someone.
"Just so you know... do what you know in your heart is 'right' and you will have less stress and more happiness every time." ~Me

Alive with Life

"Don't ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive." ~Howard Thurman

"I will not die an unlived life. I will not live in fear of falling or catching fire. I choose to inhabit my days, to allow my living to open me, to make me less afraid, more accessible, to loosen my heart until it becomes a wing, a torch, a promise. I choose to risk my significance; to live so that which comes to me as seed goes to the next as blossom and that which comes to me as blossom, goes on as fruit." ~Dawna Markova
"May you truly be alive with life!"

Half Full & Aloha Friday question

"He who has not learned to share his blessings with others has not found the true path to enduring happiness.  HAPPINESS comes from sharing one's self and one's blessings.
All riches are multiplied by the simple process of sharing them where they may serve others." ~Anonymous

Spiritual Connection

“Rather than basing our relationships primarily on human personality attractions, we tend to be drawn to those with whom we have mutual experiences and significant soul connections.” ~Anna Ellington
sacredbodywork.us
Love is a Spiritual energy.  Passion may arouse and increase enthusiasm, physical pursuits may be momentarily pleasurable, but the deep love energy flowing between two people with a spiritual connection, flows in unspoken words.  A stirring in the heart untouched, the sense inflamed just with a sensory thought of the other. The warmth pouring from the eyes of a loving glance thrown by one to another.  Two souls in perfect synchronicity... spiritually connected and aligned.
Without spiritual bonding there is no deep sensitivity, empathy or understanding.  The two people may be attracted to each other physically but remain thirsted and needful of substantiation.  Love of this type has suppressed energy.
Spiritual love is far more powerful and potent and doesn't require any effort or invention on ones part, for it inspires, warms, regenerates, strengthens, radiates light from within, and fans an eternal flame of love within ones heart. Truly a Spiritual Connection... and a Love of a lifetime.
“The more connections you and your lover make, not just between your bodies, but between your minds, your hearts, and your souls, the more you will strengthen the fabric of your relationship, and the more real moments you will experience together.” ~Barbara De Angelis

Courage to Follow your Dreams

"Courage is rightly esteemed the first of human qualities... because it is the quality which guarantees all others." ~Winston Churchill
successsystemsnow.com

Courage (also known as bravery) is the ability to confront fear, pain, danger, uncertainty, or intimidation. "Physical courage" is courage in the face of physical pain, hardship, death, or threat of death, while "moral courage" is the ability to act rightly in the face of popular opposition, shame, scandal, or discouragement.

I feel that Courage is the quality of both our mind and spirit that enables us to face those difficult, dangerous, painful times in our lives, in spite of fear... not neccesarily without it.  I also believe that to have the courage of one's convictions, to act in accordance with one's beliefs, especially in spite of criticism... is the greatest character quality of all.

"It is curious--curious that physical courage should be so common in the world, and moral courage so rare." ~Mark Twain

 Reaching Your Dream Takes Courage

Courage is admitting that you're afraid and facing that fear directly. It's being strong enough to ask for help and humble enough to accept it.
Courage is standing up for what you believe in without worrying about the opinions of others. It's following your own heart, living your own life, and settling for nothing less than the best for yourself.
Courage is daring to take a first step, a big leap, or a different path. It's attempting to do something that no one has done before and all others thought impossible.
Courage is keeping heart in the face of disappointment and looking at defeat not as an end but as a new beginning. It's believing that things will ultimately get better even as they get worse.
Courage is being responsible for your own actions and admitting your own mistakes without placing blame on others. It's relying not on others for your success, but on your own skills and efforts.
Courage is refusing to quit even when you're intimidated by impossibility. It's choosing a goal, sticking with it, and finding solutions to the problems.
Courage is thinking big, aiming high, and shooting far.
It's taking a dream and doing anything, risking everything, and stopping at nothing to make it a reality.

"All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." ~Walt Disney
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
