God, what is the plan?

"God's plan for  your life far exceeds the circumstances of your day."
I'm sure all of us, at one time or another, have wondered what God's plan for our life is.  I know I have many times.  I've been through a lot, yet I've always come through each situation stronger and wiser.  Still, I constantly wonder what God's ultimate Plan for my life is.

I know we're not suppose to question God's plan, which is hard for me at times.  I get impatient while waiting for his timing.  I loss faith when people I care about are in sad, stressful or tragic situations.

We're to have faith and believe that God knows what's best, accept his timing and pray for strength.  It sure would be easier if we knew where he will eventually lead us or what our lives will be like later on.

What I do know, or believe without fail, is that God doesn't want us to be in hard situations forever.  He wants us to learn the lessons we need to grow, for our greater good, which will lead us to the ultimate goal of God and that is to be caring, compassionate and above all Happy.
"Be willing to leave everything behind in order to pursue God's plan for you."
I've been in situations more than once, where I had to leave everything behind to pursue God's plan for my self, as while as my youngest son.  None of those times were easy, however I can honestly look back without regrets, fully seeing now the better plans God had for us.

Those memories give me hope during difficult situations and restore my faith that God once again has a plan. A plan bigger and better than what I can think of myself.  So I'm praying for guidance and strength to help me through once again.  Believing with all my heart, that things will work out better than I can even imagine in my dreams.

Praying that all my friends, current and past.  Believing there is a plan and a better tomorrow for us all.

The Right Circles...

"Friendships that support you and your values, are your needs answered."~Danish Proverb

This is so true.... sticking with those with shared values, morals and principles is important for so many reasons.  You also find your voice, confidence and courage to stand up for what you believe in when you are surround yourself with liked minded people with principles and integrity.
"Your voice is your tool and represents you.  It's important to have a good circle of friends where you can use your voice, be understood and supported."
"One piece of log creates a small fire, adequate to warm you up; add just a few more pieces to blast an immense bonfire, large enough to warm up your entire circle of friends; needless to say that individuality counts but team work dynamites."~Jin Kwon

Random Thoughts... for 2012

"Our life always expresses the results of our prominent thoughts." ~Soren Kierkegaa

This past year has flown by faster than any I can remember.  As a new year it about to begin, I have hundreds of thoughts and memories running through my mind each time I sit to write in my journal or work on my book.  Since I've been too busy to blog much in the past year, I thought I'd add a few of them now.
  • 2012 started Happy, had highs & lows & ended Great.
  • The trials in between had much needed lessons.
  • Everyone has experienced trauma in their life.
  • We should all have more empathy and compassion.
  • Traumas can transform if allowed to push us forward.
  • I have shared experiences with my best of friends.
  • We must leave our comfort zones in order to grow.
  • That was needed for my new career and direction.
  • We often stay in jobs and situations out of Fear.
  • Have Faith! You don't know, what you don't know.
  • Sleep deprivation is everyone's worst enemy.
  • Negative environments are not worth the damage.
  • Unhappy people find fault with each other.
  • Hurting people, hurt others.  Don't let them hurt you.
  • Showing kindness, can stop the negative verbiage
  • Standing up for yourself shows self-respect.
  • Immature people push blame and want revenge.
  • Mature people try to understand why things happen.
  • Respect, the words used and tone of voice do matter.
  • It takes 10 positives to make up for 1 negative.
  • Nikki Haley is my example of strength and leadership.
  • She has character and someone I'd like to emulate.
  • Being strong annoys the people who want control.
  • We're suppose to put our children First!
  • No amount of critisisum over the years helped us.
  • Volunteering and getting involved is so rewarding.
  • I meet the most amazing people when I volunteer.
  • We all need our own friends, interest... Lives.
  • No one should depend on you for their happiness.
  • Anymore than you should depend on someone else.
  • When you're direct and honest; don't ever feel guilty.
  • It's more important what someone does than says.
  • I'm not emotional any longer because I'm not afraid.
  • I'm not afraid of dying or the future; I have Faith.
  • When I see death, I pray for the souls and families.
  • Kindness and Compassion are a Hugh part of my job.
  • The last job prepared me for my current career/job.
  • Having the passion for it, makes me really good at it.
  • So much accomplished... so much more I want to do!

Footprints on our Heart...

"Be mindful that today is a gift and tomorrow isn't certain.  So lets try to leave loving footprints on the hearts of every soul we meet." ~ME

Footprints In Your Heart

Many people will walk in and out of your life,
But only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.

Handle yourself, use your head;
To handle others, use your heart.

Anger is only one letter short of danger.
If someone betrays you once, it is his fault;
If he betrays you twice, it is your fault.

Great minds discuss ideas,
Average minds discuss events,
Small minds discuss people.

He who loses money, loses much;
He who loses a friend, loses much more;
He who loses faith, loses all.

Beautiful young people are accidents of nature,
But beautiful old people are works of art.

Learn from the mistakes of others.
You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.

Friends, you and me.
You brought another friend,
And then there were three.
We started our group,
Our circle of friends,
And like that circle -
There is no beginning or end.

Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is mystery.
Today is a gift.
That's why it's called the present.*

I'm BACK!!!

Hello!!  Oh how I have missed blogging and you ALL so much!  I have been gone way too long.

This past year has been a FLASH of events, traumas, health issues and enormous stress.  All of which piled up on me to the point of exhaustion.  I needed to take a step back and take care of myself first; then figure out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life.

One thing lead to another this past year causing me to learn many lessons.  In the end I regained the confidence, strength and self esteem I seemed to have lost a time or two in the past few years.  Finding my direction and voice again has led me to the real path God intended for me all along.

Next week I start a brand new journey in a totally different field.  I am looking forward to a fresh start, new adventures working for a company that helps people with Christian values.  A company that models compassion and respect to their clients and employees in a positive work environment.

Positive environments, respect and reasonable expectations play a major roll in employee morale, health and happiness.  I have learned to both treat myself and others with respect, compassion and appreciation.

All in all, I learned to take care of myself first.  I learned I can handle more work than I ever imagined.  I learned overwhelming amounts of information and now have the skills that brought me to these new opportunities.

I had so many positives this year too.  I met several great friends who taught me true compassion with their selfless acts of kindness.   I also met amazing people while volunteering this fall; who each taught me by example.  Such as how to enjoy the moments and find the good in everyone; as well as how to handle disappointments with grace and gratitude.

Today I said goodbye to some of those amazing people and Friday I say 'see you later' to others whom I consider my guardian angels this past year.  This week is bitter sweet, filled with lots of mixed emotions; however I feel in my heart that this is the right decision and that this move will open so many more doors for me. :-)

A Spiritual path together

"Spirituality is allowing compassion and love to flourish. When belongness begins, corruption ends." ~Sri Sri Ravi Shanka

"The spiritual path is not a solo endeavor. In fact, the very notion of a self who is trying to free her/himself, alone, is a delusion. We are in it together and the company of spiritual friends helps us realize our interconnectedness." ~Tara Brach

When Someone Listens

"A friend is someone who listens when you speak, understands when you cry and guides you on your way." ~Thomas Eappen
When someone deeply listens to you
it is like holding out a dented cup
you've had since childhood
and watching it fill up with
cold, fresh water.
When it balances on top of the brim,
you are understood.
When it overflows and touches your skin,
you are loved.

When someone deeply listens to you
the room where you stay
starts a new life
and the place where you wrote
your first poem
begins to glow in your mind's eye.
It is as if gold has been discovered!

When someone deeply listens to you
your barefeet are on the earth
and a beloved land that seemed distant
is now at home within you

Wishing they were by your side...

"It's crazy how you can go months or even years without talking to someone but they still cross your mind everyday." ~Unknown

Have you every met someone that you instantly were drawn too?  Connecting in such a unique way that you feel like you've known each other before... in a distant past that you've long forgotten when that was.  Yet you still know that on some level you have.  I certainly have at least once.

As incredibly busy as this entire year has been, I still think about them every day.  In a happy yet kind of sad way too... because I'm wondering how they are, where they are and what they're doing... and I miss them.

It's not that I'm unhappy in my own life; because I'm actually happier than I've ever been.  Strong, confident, social, and busy working on my dreams and life... even driven at times to the point of exhaustion.  Yet... there's something still missing.

At the end of each busy day, I finally take a moment or two to reflect on the day, before planning for the next and getting some needed rest.   It is at that time I can hear my intuition loud and clear telling me what I'm still missing in my life, along with that long list of reasons why they are so special.

Then once again, I feel a tug at my heart where that empty space is and know exactly why it's there... because I'm missing someone and wishing at that moment they were by my side.

When We Share

worldphotocollections.blogspot.com

When We Share...  poet unknown

When we share laughter, there's twice the fun;
When we share success, we surpass what we've done.

When we share problems, there's half the pain;
When we share tears, a rainbow follows rain.

When we share dreams, they become more real;
When we share secrets, it's our hearts we reveal.

If we share a smile, then our love shows;
If we share a hug, then our love grows.

If we share with someone on whom we depend,
That person becomes family or friend.

And what draws us closer and makes us all care,
Is not what we have, but the things that we share.

Can you feel me Praying for You?

turnbacktogod.com

Someone, Somewhere
Life has been such a struggle for me, Nothing is going right. I am so weak, lost and afraid, My days are dark as night. I cry out to God but just can't find the words, This pain just won't go away. Then hope fills my soul and I start to believe, That things will get better today.
I know that someone is praying for me, I can feel it in my heart. Tears filled my eyes and I almost gave up, My heart felt so ripped apart. But someone, somewhere said a prayer for me, God knew just what to do. For He knew my struggles and sent me someone, To pray to get me through.
I know that someone is praying for me, Cause I couldn't do it myself. Then in an instant I felt so free, He took care of me by Himself. He asked someone loving to answer His call, Someone who really does care. To lift me up to our heavenly Lord, A dear friend out there somewhere.
Life is still a struggle for me, But I get on my knees and pray. Although I am weak I'm much stronger now, There's sunshine back in my day. It makes all the difference knowing someone, Really cares about me. For God sent me someone, somewhere out there, To pray on behalf of me.
If the Lord leads you to pray for someone, A friend or someone unknown, Don't look away for God needs your help, And to you He has shown. Your love and kindness could change someone's life, Although they may not know you. The life that you helped could have been mine, And to you I say, THANK-YOU!
I know what it's like to have someone, somewhere, Ask the Lord to guide me. I felt so alone, but that prayer changed my life, And set my heart so free. I'll keep my heart open and listen for God, Then I'll pray to Him for you. For I want to be that someone, somewhere, Who God can use for you. Nancy Burr

Just so you know...

"Knowing comes from our experiences in life and taking responsibility for our own actions in order to learn the lessons." ~Me

This theme is borrowed from my good friend, Jules @ Trying to get over the Rainbow!  Many of you already know and love her too!  Thank you, Jules!!

Just so you know... understanding comes from experiences.
Just so you know... receptive people have open minds.
Just so you know... compassion comes from an open heart.
Just so you know... creativity comes from inspiration.
Just so you know... if you don't agree, still be respectful.
Just so you know... listening first is always wise.
Just so you know... not everyone has ulterior motives.
Just so you know... real friends are patient with you.
Just so you know... you shouldn't be friends with 'everyone'.
Just so you know... you can be kind without being friends.
Just so you know... no one knows everything about anyone.
Just so you know... the 'character' of a person is important.
Just so you know... we meet everyone for a 'reason'.
Just so you know... we can learn a lesson everyday.
Just so you know... we need rest to think clearly.
Just so you know... people know more than they say.
Just so you know... everyone needs to feel accepted.
Just so you know... everyone gets stronger with love.
Just so you know... you must Love yourself First.
Just so you know... you can't make someone Love you, anymore than you can make yourself Love someone.
"Just so you know... do what you know in your heart is 'right' and you will have less stress and more happiness every time." ~Me

Everlasting Friend... Everylasting Blessing

"A friend is one who knows you as you are, understands where you've been, accepts who you've become, and still invites you to grow" ~unknown

nodilyn.glogster.com

It has been said that everlasting friends can go long periods of time without seeing each other or even speaking... yet never question the friendship. These friends pick up like they just spoke yesterday, regardless of how long it has been or how far away they live, and they don't hold grudges. They understand that life is busy and.. you will ALWAYS love them.  If you have at least 1 of these friends... re-post or share this. Because friends like this will know who they are! ♥

Everyone Needs Someone

sayingimages.com

Everyone Needs Someone

People need people and friends need friends
And we all need love for a full life depends
Not on vast riches or great acclaim,
Not on success or on worldly fame,
But just in knowing that someone cares
And holds us close in their thoughts and prayers-
For only the knowledge that we're understood
Makes everyday living feel wonderfully good,
And we rob ourselves of life's greatest need
When we "lock up our hearts" and fail to heed
The outstretched hand reaching to find
A kindred spirit whose heart and mind
Are lonely and longing to somehow share
Our joys and sorrows and to make us aware
That life's completeness and richness depends
On the things we share with our loved ones and friends.

Prayer for my Friends...

”The true friend is the one who’s coming in the door while everyone else is going out. Friends are the ones who love you when you’re hard to love, stand by you when it’s not the popular thing to do and are there for you when you need it, even if it means they don’t get anything back.” ~ Author unknown

Prayer for my Friends
I will pray for you, my friend.
I will name you in my heart before God and ask all His blessing be upon you.
I will be concerned for your safety and your daily mood.
I will be sympathetic to your personal needs and desires in each day of your life.
I will wish you well in your learning, or your work, in your domestic round and your happiness.
I will think of you at the close of each day and pray that God’s peace be with you.

If you have been especially kind or helpful to me then I will make my gratitude known to you.
If you are in trouble or difficulty of any kind, or simply tired and worn down, I will do all and anything I can to lift your spirits.
I will ache for you in your sorrows and disasters and rejoice with you in your joys and triumphs.
I will love and care for you as I love and care for myself.

Be Yourself

“You can gain more friends by being yourself than you can by putting up a front. You can gain more friends by building people up than you can by tearing them down. And you can gain more friends by taking a few minutes from each day to do something kind for someone, whether it be a friend or a complete stranger. What a difference one person can make!” -Sasha Azevedo

Be Yourself   by Ellen Bailey

Why would you want to be someone else
When you could be better by being yourself
Why pretend to be someone you are not
When you have something they haven't got

Cheating yourself of the life you have to live
Deprives others of that only which you can give
You have much more to offer by being just you
Than walking around in someone else's shoes

Trying to live the life of another is a mistake
It is a masquerade; nothing more than a fake
Be yourself and let your qualities show through
Others will love you more for being just you

Remember that God loves you just as you are
To Him you are already a bright shining star
Family and friends will love you more too
If you spent time practicing just being you

Gossip and Rumors..

http://www.victorious.org/gossip.htm
We rarely discover how--or even why--a rumor gets started. Sometimes rumors are spread intentionally, sometimes by mistake.  Maybe a someone sees a new car at a neighbors house and assumes they have a new friend.  Or someone reads a blog and assumes they know what's going on in someones life.  Bits of conversation, reads and sightings, all taken out of context. Is it a rumor or more juicy gossip to be spread? Usually it's because someone noisy has assumed things.  Their information isn't reliable enough to even repeat, let alone spread.  Gossips spread rumors anyway, only to hurt people in the end.  How sad!

Sometimes rumors are completely ridiculous, like the ones going around about me right now.  And sometimes they are more believable than the truth to people who have no idea what's it's like to be happy with oneself and ones own life.  They may be innocent, they may be hurtful, but they usually have expected and unexpected consequences.

Many of you have noticed that I've become distant. Have I ever mention that I don't like it here... no I don't really.  I try to stay positive and made the best of it until my son is done with school.  However, it's not my home state and I feel that I will never fit in.  Which has been perfectly fine with me since about the first month, so I've been counting the days until I can move again ever since.  The people here don't really know or understand me.  I tried to make 'real' friends here and I have regretted it every time.   Very bad experiences with people assuming things and even intentionally trying to cause trouble in my life.  Spreading lies, because they assumed things or worst, because they just wanted to cause trouble.  People who didn't even know me!!

Although I started writing last year, I am still a very private person, because of what I've gone through in the last 6 years.  Yes, I write about finding true love and special friends in my life.  But no one but my sons and I, have any idea who the people I write about truly are.  I thought that was best.  Now I realize that gossip and evil people will assume, even make things up, if you don't tell them what's going on (or not going on) in your life.

Seriously, these people need lives of their own.  Or at least Happy ones, because I don't think any of them can possibly be happy if they spread gossip and lies.  I've said it before... but I really Hate gossip!  This is why I keep to myself.  This is also ONE of the reasons I'm moving to another state as soon as my youngest son graduates in July and I can sell my house.  I've been planning this for 2 years.  Although I didn't think it's anyone else's business who are what I write about on my blog or what my plans are.  Which by the way, it's just a blog people!  It's my creative writing, my therapy, my voice and my business!  All of which I have a right to in this country and in this way too short a life.

I just told you all something personal, because I am finally not afraid of anyone ruining my future.   My true friends, know that I am a good person who would Never ever hurt anyone intentionally.  That I started my blog and writing because I truly wanted to help people.  I know I have helped many, by all the private and personal emails I've received over the last year.   However maybe it's time to think of myself and put my writing on hold until I get out of this God forsaken state.  I don't know for sure at this moment in time; however I do know that it has been an incredibly painful and hurtful past week for me, that I did not deserve.  Phone calls have been made and my reputation has been trashed from nothing but lies and assumptins; even though I've never 'crossed' a line or done anything even inappropriate... let alone wrong.  I'm a good mother, good friend and mostly.. I'm a good person!!

We all have Choices...

We all have free will, so we all have at least 2 paths or choices in our life in any given situation.  Whether minor or Life Changing.  When the people we are trying to help keep choosing paths that are not good for them and won't bring them happiness; what should we do?

I have a friend who keeps saying they want to be happy.  Then just when I think they are following their hearts and allowing them self to be happy, they suddenly get pulled back into unhealthy and unhappy situations again and again... going down the path that everyone including them, knows won't bring them happiness.  It's very frustrating and heartbreaking to see this happen... and it happens every single time.

So what can a friend do?  I understand what this friend is going through, because I've been there.  However, I didn't have a support system or the knowledge that I have now.  My self-esteem was also very low back then.  This person is very intelligent, can support them self, has support and in the end... I think knows better.  But they keep going back for more unhappiness and even abuse... out of guilt and unhealthy misplaced loyalty.

This certainly isn't the first time I've been in this situation as a friend.  In fact, this is the 4th time in 6 years that I have tried to 'save' a friend.  Every other time I was told one thing... that they wanted help or that I was helping them.  Only to discover through my own misfortune, that they were just using my friendship for strength to get them through.  That they had no real desire to change or change their situation.

I thought each time of course that I was being a good friend, and I was.  However, I also thought/believed each time that the lop-sided friendship of my giving and them taking, would balance out once they took care of their situation.  Whatever that was.  To get out of a bad relationship, stop drinking, being depressed, etc. etc. etc.  Only each of those times, that never happened.  I gave without getting anything back and I was left feeling empty... in fact drained and even used.  Used as a friend...  for support, comfort and strength.

This last experience I again was being a good friend to someone who needed me.  They did!  However, when I thought I was giving them strength to change their situation.  I now feel that I was only giving them strength to endure their situation, not get out or change it.  Because they once again seem to have been pulled back in... out of guilt or fear and have chosen the path that once again won't bring them happiness.

The last time this friend called me, just to hear my voice in order to give them 'strength' and 'comfort', it really upset me.  Very upset, worried, hurt and even angry after I hung up the phone... with both myself and my friend.  With myself, because I realized the pattern of being used in a friendship.  I've been worried sick about my friend, losing sleep and caring too much once again.  Upset with my friend because they should know how worried I am, that I have a heart condition and don't need the extra stress in my life.  Yet they keep taking my support, draining my caring energy... while giving me none of those things in return.

They used to give great support and inspiration to me.  I once felt we had a balanced relationship... but that was very early in our friendship.  Somewhere along the way I let the friendship become unbalanced.  That is my fault, because I let it.

Although I care and understand what this friend is going through, because I've been there... I can not help them.  Not really help them anyway.  Because you can't truly help someone if they are not ready, willing or able to help themselves.  At least not yet.  I continue to pray that they will someday.

It's heartbreaking to see a friend or anyone, go through this.  But what can, or should, a friend do in these situations?   I'm now thinking long and hard about the choices I've made and wondering what path I should now choose.

Half Full & Aloha Friday!

“Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence” ~ Aristotle
Half Full Friday is a series of weekly posts that Eye Girl originally started in June 2009.  Now the it is hosted by Sprinkles at Wyldechylde.  We believe that a lot of our happiness is determined by our attitude about the things that happen to us. So by participating, we are deciding to see the glass as half full, instead of half empty. We are choosing to concentrate on the positives, instead of dwelling on the negatives. Our Half Full Friday posts are a way to do just that. They are a list of the things in our life that have brought us happiness over the past week. We are determined to find the something good in every day. Are you

"Our greatest happiness does not depend on the condition of life in which chance has placed us, but is always the result of a good conscience, good health, occupation, and freedom in all just pursuits." ~ Thomas Jefferson
For the next week, we challenge you to keep a list of at least one thing that brought you happiness each day.

This is where I usually tell you what I'm Very Happy about this week.. however my children have asked me not to mention them, so I'll have to think of some new answers from now on... outside my usual 'mom' box.  That's going to be hard, but good for me I'm sure. :-)
  • I'm happy to have had 1 1/2 Snow days this week!  Love working for a college.  :-)
  • I'm happy for safe travel & warm clothes this week!
  • I'm happy for lots of rest!   I really needed some this week!

My question:  How do you let someone know you care?

My answer:   I like to write and/or create blog post!  I know that several special people read my blog and  hopefully they know when I'm talking to them specifically. :-)

She is crazy...but very smart.

She is crazy, but very smart.  She has spies everywhere because she is very clever and knows how to pull people in with her lies and perception of the truth. She gets them to 'spy for her' and tell her things by being very 'sweet' and manipulating her half truths to get people to feel sorry for her.  Those she pulls in are willing to help her because they either believe her lies or are very nosy and want to know what they 'think' is going on in other peoples' lives.  Gossip is a form of entertainment for them.  Many are phony to people's faces, then talk behind their backs.  These people should be fired, but their bosses don’t know.

She also has a 6th sense, however she doesn’t use it for good or to make better life choices. She uses it to get what she wants.  The knowledge she gains from her spies, along with her just ‘knowing’ at times, is what she uses to manipulate the people in her life. She uses guilt to get her way or makes up lies to gain sympathy from others and then gains control whenever someone tries to pull away from them.

She doesn’t care what she says, how she acts or who she hurts. Their world and perceptions revolve only around themselves and what they want. The people that they are supposed to love, including her own children, get put in the middle and used for leverage. She keeps her man awake at night arguing, not caring if he gets enough sleep, has to get up early or has a long drive to work and back home each day.  Not caring if the fighting and stress effects his job or if he gets in an accident because she didn't let him get enough sleep. She doesn’t care. She thinks it serves him right for her not getting what she wants. She is selfish and self-serving.  She has an excuse for everything.

People like this, both male and female, must be very insecure and feel threatened, for whatever reason or excuse they come up with.  They take no responsibility for their own choices or actions. They are obviously miserable in their own lives, so they cause trouble in other peoples, with their actions and behaviors.  Most even act as if everything in life is about them.  It shows in their manipulation and constant rudeness toward others.

I know several people like this. At one time I actually tried to be friends with one of them. Mostly because I didn’t want them as an enemy. I saw what they were capable of. I also tried to see the good in everyone and wanted to be friends with all that I met back then.  I now know I don't want to be friends with everyone.  Another part of me thought I needed to become strong enough to ‘handle’ people like this.  That it would make me a better person.

I was wrong!  I saw the malicious things these types of people are capable of... first hand.  The friendships they ruined and the lives they tried to destroy.   People like that are no good to be around... no matter how strong you are or how nice a person you want to be. Their self-centered nature, self-serving motives and negative attitudes... can suck the life right out of you if you let them.

I have a very good friend who is in a similar situation.  Looking from the outside in, I feel they have a person just like this around them.  They are negatively and maliciously affecting their life.  My friend is a really nice person, hard worker, great parent and an all around good person. They put everyone else first in their lives, because that is who they are.  Every human being deserves to be treated with respect at the very least. Along with the honest truth and appreciation.  We all deserve those!

I worry about them because I doubt they take care of themselves.  I know they don't get enough sleep and I’m equally sure they have enormous stress in their life. I pray for their health and safety every day!  I wish for peace and happiness to fill their life very soon.  I also wish I knew they were Ok more often... but I don't want to cause my friend more trouble or stress.  That's the last thing I want to do.

I know it’s none of my business; however I understand what it’s like to live your life doing your best with little or no appreciation.  In addition to having outside influences cause unnecessary trouble and needless stress. I also know what it’s like to be in a relationship where the other person is selfish and self-serving.  Because of my own experiences, I have enormous compassion and understanding. I also feel I have a right to care… as a friend and as a human being in this world.  We all should care how people are treated!  The world would be a better place if we all had a little more humility.

Humility, or being humble, is the quality of being modest, reverential, even politely submissive, and never being arrogant, contemptuous, rude or even self-abasing. Humility, in various interpretations, is widely seen as a virtue in many religious and philosophical traditions, being connected with notions of transcendent unity and of egolessness.  Which mean having no emotional state of ego or selfishness.

Humility is often rewarded in relationships. It is the way of the world to fill the empty cup. Regardless of your position, humility is a positive and deceptively powerful attribute. True humility is a virtue to which all should aspire.

The happiest people are those who know how to bring each situation into balance by reducing that which is too great in their lives, and by adding to that which is too little. A humble person craves not power, but balanced and stable relationships. Humility is the virtue that allows you to perceive the balancing force; humble people are not prey to the many illusions that grow out of self-importance. If humility is not natural to our disposition, we should make a conscious effort to develop it.
“I claim to be a simple individual liable to err like any other fellow mortal. I own, however, that I have humility enough to confess my errors and to retrace my steps.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi

"This is the wish we should all have for each other: Comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the truth, Love to complete your life." ~ Author Unknown
