"One is not born into this world to do everything, but to do something."~Henry David Thoreau

It's been a busy couple of years volunteering, making new friends and lots of connections. All while trying to make a difference and even change the world one step at a time. I've met some interesting, strong and amazing people. I've found my voice and became more outgoing and assertive than I've ever been.
"Strong people stand up for themselves. But the strongest people stand up for others."~My Renewed Mind

I've never been that person who complains about something without trying to find a solution or resources. In the past few years my focus has been primarily focused on my local community, state or national government.. I've joined organizations, boards and committees that focus on improving all of these in some way or another.
"Never place blame on things you cannot change or you don't have any control of. If it is to be, it's up to me!"
I've supported and continue to support local and state wide issues, as well as friends who want to make a difference by running for an office. Because I won't change or compromise my values and beliefs in any way... I do my research and and listen to my intuition before deciding a cause to support, a direction to take or a person to help. Then I take action, motivated by what I feel is right.
“It's the action, not the fruit of the action, that's important. You have to do the right thing. It may not be in your power, may not be in your time, that there'll be any fruit. But that doesn't mean you stop doing the right thing. You may never know what results come from your action. But if you do nothing, there will be no result.”~Mahatma Gandhi
What actions do you take to make a difference?
It's one thing to sit and complain, another to stand up and do something about a problem. Good for you, Coreen! I do a lot in our community through my church. It's a blessing to get involved and give back.
