"The man who makes everything that leads to happiness depends upon himself, and not upon other men, has adopted the very best plan for living happily. This is the man of moderation, the man of manly character and of wisdom." – PlatoHalf Full Friday is a series of weekly posts that Eye Girl originally started in June 2009. Now the it is hosted by Sprinkles at Wyldechylde. We believe that a lot of our happiness is determined by our attitude about the things that happen to us. So by participating, we are deciding to see the glass as half full, instead of half empty. We are choosing to concentrate on the positives, instead of dwelling on the negatives. Our Half Full Friday posts are a way to do just that. They are a list of the things in our life that have brought us happiness over the past week. We are determined to find the something good in every day. Are you?
"Your success and happiness lies in you. Resolve to keep happy, and your joy and you shall form an invisible host against difficulties." ~Helen KellerFor the next week, we challenge you to keep a list of at least one thing that brought you happiness each day.
This week I'm Happy and Thankful for:
- 3 Graduations this spring and summer to look forward to!!
- my ability to see the lessons in adversities and trials.
- the love I always feel from my family and friends! :-)
"There’s simply no room for hatred in happiness. There is only love. Whenever possible, choose to forgive and forget." ~author unknown

Hi Coreen... I love that quote saying there's no room for hatred in happiness... SO true!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI pray that people around the world can learn to get along with each other and accept their differences...
My favorite non-material happiness is sitting on top of a mountain watching a sunrise or sunset.... There's nothing better!!!!
Hugs,

Hmmm, non material happiness - so much, so many! Meditation, praying with friends, laughter - mine with friends and babies giggles, fragrance of lilacs, rainbows, smell after a summer rain, thunderstorms, love, respect, appreciation for and of others, there's more but that's enough for now!
ReplyDeleteFor starters: seeing a hawk, perched on a fence, just outside of the window where I am writing this comment.

ReplyDeleteMy happiness of the non material kind is my only happiness; nature, sunsets, the sea, my family and friends, the man I love and of course Batcat. Overall just the fact that I am alive and healthy makes me happy.;)
