Half Full Friday is a series of weekly posts that Eye Girl originally started in June 2009. Now the it is hosted by Sprinkles at Wyldechylde. We believe that a lot of our happiness is determined by our attitude about the things that happen to us. So by participating, we are deciding to see the glass as half full, instead of half empty. We are choosing to concentrate on the positives, instead of dwelling on the negatives. Our Half Full Friday posts are a way to do just that. They are a list of the things in our life that have brought us happiness over the past week. We are determined to find the something good in every day. Are you?"When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds: Your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great, and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be." ~Patanjali
"The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, not to worry about the future, or not to anticipate troubles, but to live the present moment wisely and earnestly." ~Buddha
For the next week, we challenge you to keep a list of at least one thing that brought you happiness each day.
I'm Happy and Thankful for many things every day... especially this week:
For my surgeries going very well!
- For the help of friends & co-workers this week!!
- For getting everything done before hand.
- For a wonderful surgeon & nurses on Wed.
- For having great plans for my life!!
- For having the time off to recover & heal!
- For animals to watch outside my patio door while I rest!
- For a laptop and new Iphone 4s to keep me occupied!!
And AGAIN for positive energy and staying optimistic!! :-)
"Time Heals All Wounds." ~AnonymousIt's also "ALOHA FRIDAY" Everyone!! If you want to join in the fun? My question: What is your advice on Healing faster, either your body or mind?"Healing is a matter of time. But it is also a matter of opportunity." ~Hippocrates (450 BC - 370 BC
My answer: Mine is to take every opportunity to relax and allow our bodies to heal. I also believe that listening to upbeat, vibrational music keeps our spirits and energy up; helping us to heal faster.
"Never hurry. Take plenty of exercise. Always be cheerful. Take all the sleep you need. Expect to be well." ~James Freeman Clarke (April, 1810 - June, 1888)Have a wonderful weekend my friends!!
Hugs and Many Blessings,
~ Coreen XO
I would have to answer "both body and mind" to your question.
ReplyDeleteI'm simply thrilled that your doin' well sweetie. I've lost touch with so many since I just kinda dropped out for the summer.
I believe you are so right. Happiness isn't something that 'happens' to us. It's totally an attitude. I'll be the first one to tell ya that I wake up of a mornin' and choose to be happy. Yep...it's a choice.
How do I heal??? Well, I take suppliments to boost my immune system, get loads of fresh air and exercise. Do yoga...it's like a girdle from the inside out plus soothes my soul. 'Just a process of a healthy lifestyle.
God bless and have a wonderful weekend sweetie!!! :o)
Happy that your surgery went well!!! Nice to have new toys:) Great advice about rest...
ReplyDeleteHey, you forgot to be thankful for "balance" in the snow. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry I have a super elevated healing system and I got it from being super clumsy. :)

ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you were able to get the surgeries done while you still have insurance and that your employer let you have the time off.

ReplyDeleteI drown myself in books to forget whatever is causing me pain. But I have found all that is transient, only time can completely erase the pains and make them a distant memory, a long forgotten accident albeit a few scars.Wishing you a speedy recovery!! :)
