ReplyDeleteI always think that people like me too and then my feelings are hurt when I find out they don't.
ReplyDeleteOnce, at an old job, I don't know what possessed me to say this because I certainly didn't get the feeling that she didn't care for me -- I told a coworker that I thought that she didn't like for me and I was sorry that I annoyed her. Seriously, I don't know where this came from because I didn't really think that. Well, this coworker turned red and took a r-e-a-l-l-y long time to finally answer back. Turns out I was right, she said she didn't like me. Apparently she had at one time but I said something she didn't like. Never did figure out what I said. Everyone around me knew, one person told me to think about it and I'd figure it out. Uh, yeah, NO! Whatever, I don't work with her anymore. I'm over it.
I am also naive and want to be liked the same way I like others. Happy Thanksgiving!
