Healing Energy...from my heart to yours.

"The power of love to change bodies is legendary, built into folklore, common sense, and everyday experience.  Love moves the flesh, it pushes matter around... Throughout history, "tender loving care" has uniformly been recognized as valuable element in healing." ~Larry Dossey

Random Tuesday Thoughts... Just so you know ;-)

http://diyphotography.net
Just so you know... my new Iphone died last weekend
... I knocked it into a glass of Ice-tea; what are the odds?!

Just so you know... I liked when cell insurance was local
... I won't have a new phone until Wednesday.

Just so you know... my feet are both healing wonderfully
... I went back to work on Monday!!

Just so you know... all my boys will be home this week
... I'm very excited and happy.

Just so you know... I miss a certain blog visitor :)
... I hope they come back soon. ;-)

Just so you know... I know what I want
... and I'm not going to settle for less.

Just so you know... I'm stronger than you think
... and I can handle anything.

Just so you know... I'm not like anyone you've ever met
... and I mean that in a good way. ;-)

Just so you know... I love where I live
... the deer outside is my favorite view!

HAPPY TUESDAY!!! :-)

My poor feet....

Feet up and iced!
I had my double foot surgery yesterday.  Had to have them done together.. for insurance reasons; but in all reality, they never would have gotten me to go back a second time. :-)  I was too busy the past week to be scared... until yesterday morning after my ride left and I was alone getting ready for surgery.  I started shaking and then, as usual when I'm nervous, I started talking.  So once again, I made lots of friends through out the day! :-)

The adventure home was first trying to keep my feet dry, because it SNOWED while I was at the surgery center.  Then almost falling out of the wheelchair trying to get into the car.. wow.  The nurse thought I laughed because I was a little loopy... nope!  Things like that happen all the time to me and I always laugh at my daily mishaps.  It's much better than crying or getting upset. :-)

On the way to the pharmacy for much needed meds; I was treated for ice cream.  As my 4 year old niece said on the channel 6 news last Friday 'video link here'... Yum!! :-)

I was going to stay on the love seat in my living room, keeping my feet up and iced is easier there.  Until a Hugh raccoon came up to the patio door  around 11pm and stared at me for a very long time.  He or she freaked me out a little, so I finally went to my own bed and got some sleep, thank goodness.

Today I am back on the love seat and watching the birds, squirrels and deer out my patio door.  Living in such a beautiful and peaceful place will surely help me heal even faster.  I so love my new home!!

It's hard for me to stay inside and not be running around busy most of the day; however I have lots to keep me occupied until I go to the doctor on Monday morning and then back to work.

I have my laptop which I love even 2 years later; and the new Iphone 4s to play with.   I just got it a week ago.  I've never had a 'smart' phone before so this is super cool to me.

Have any of you had partial joint replacement surgery in your feet, or any where else?  I'd love to hear your stories and recovery advice.

Love Heals

"There is authentic unconditional love in every instance of healing, allowing the heart's peace to flow toward others, and knowing that love is the only gift that can outshine fear and despair." ~Steve Brunkhorst
forcedgreen.com
"We can cure physical diseases with medicine, but the only cure for loneliness, despair, and hopelessness is love. There are many in the world who are dying for a piece of bread, but there are many more dying for a little love." ~Mother Teresa (1910-1997)

Love Heals!

When life hurts, love heals
When words fail, love speaks

When all is lost and all is gone
Love gives strength to move on

When it rains, love shines
Love embraces, when hearts pine

Shattered souls love quickly mends
Love is a mentor, love is a friend

Where there is love, there is no grief
Love is spring's first green leaf

Love is young and love is old
Love is earth and love is gold

Love is why we are born
Love is why we go on and on!

"As you begin to understand the immense power and love you hold inside, you will find an unending surge of joy, light and love that will nourish and support you all the days of your life." ~Susan Jeffers

Here Comes the Sun By: Louise L. Hay

The sun is always shining. Even though clouds many come along and obscure the sun for awhile, the sun is always shining. The sun never stops shining. And even though the earth turns, and the sun appears to go down, it really never stops shining.

The same is true of Infinite Power and Infinite Spirit. It is eternal. it is always here, always giving light to us. We may obscure its presence by the clouds of negative thinking, but that Spirit, that Power, that healing energy is always with us.

We are just beginning to learn about the Power that we have inside us. We are not going to find it if we contract. The more we can open to ourselves, the more we are going to find the Universal energies available to assist us. There are incredible accomplishments that we are capable of.

Take a few breaths. Open your chest and give your heart room to expand. Keep practicing, and sooner or later the barriers will begin to drop. Today is your beginning point.

Half Full Friday! May 28, 2010

Half Full Friday is a series of weekly posts that Eye Girl originally started in June 2009.

We believe that a lot of our happiness is determined by our attitude about the things that happen to us. So by participating, we are deciding to see the glass as half full, instead of half empty. We are choosing to concentrate on the positives, instead of dwelling on the negatives. Our Half Full Friday posts are a way to do just that. They are a list of the things in our life that have brought us happiness over the past week.

"Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day." ~ Author Unknown

We are determined to find the something good in every day.  Are you?

For the next week, we challenge you to keep a list of at least one thing that brought you happiness each day. On Friday, write your own Half Full Friday post and return to Life As Eye See It to link your post and to see what other bloggers found happiness in during the past week.

Don't forget to grab a Half Full Friday Banner or Button for your blog post if you are going to join in:

This is my second time joining Half Full Friday and here is what I'm Happy for this week:
  • I am happy that I got to talk to all 3 of my sons this week.

I'm sure not perfect...

Everyone has been very kind with their comments about my post and on my parenting. Those comments bring me worth and encouragement. But I also cringe because I made a lot of mistakes too.

Although I feel I have done my best under extreme stress at times, I am FAR from perfect. I used to be a highly emotional person with a lot of damage from my own childhood to overcome. Then there's the damage from my adult relationships that I am still healing from.

I listen to the stories of my new friends on here and see the difference a happy committed couple of parents can truly make when raising children. Especially when you have a special needs child and dealing with schools, teachers and even family.

In my own situation, I not only dealt with most of it on my own, but worst than that, was fighting with my own spouse on 'our' son's diagnosis and needs. We fought about everything. From whose fault it was to what he could and could not control. It was horribly stressful on all my sons and myself. It took me a long time to forgive myself for allowing that.

I have so many regrets! I still feel horribly guilty for what my sons' witnesses and listened to. Especially my special needs son who knew we fought about him. I wished so much for my spouse to be supportive and for us to work together for your son. Unfortunately that never happened.

I have since forgiven him and I'm sure he sees things very differently now. He is back in our son's life and that means so much to him. I am glad that we get along now although I am still a single parent and carry all the stress. At least I feel that other people finally see my son like I do. Smart and a great young man! Finally!!
