Connect to the Universe

"When people go within and connect with themselves, they realize they are connected to the universe and they are connected to all living things." ~Armand Dimele

A Spiritual path together

"Spirituality is allowing compassion and love to flourish. When belongness begins, corruption ends." ~Sri Sri Ravi Shanka

"The spiritual path is not a solo endeavor. In fact, the very notion of a self who is trying to free her/himself, alone, is a delusion. We are in it together and the company of spiritual friends helps us realize our interconnectedness." ~Tara Brach

Wishing they were by your side...

"It's crazy how you can go months or even years without talking to someone but they still cross your mind everyday." ~Unknown

Have you every met someone that you instantly were drawn too?  Connecting in such a unique way that you feel like you've known each other before... in a distant past that you've long forgotten when that was.  Yet you still know that on some level you have.  I certainly have at least once.

As incredibly busy as this entire year has been, I still think about them every day.  In a happy yet kind of sad way too... because I'm wondering how they are, where they are and what they're doing... and I miss them.

It's not that I'm unhappy in my own life; because I'm actually happier than I've ever been.  Strong, confident, social, and busy working on my dreams and life... even driven at times to the point of exhaustion.  Yet... there's something still missing.

At the end of each busy day, I finally take a moment or two to reflect on the day, before planning for the next and getting some needed rest.   It is at that time I can hear my intuition loud and clear telling me what I'm still missing in my life, along with that long list of reasons why they are so special.

Then once again, I feel a tug at my heart where that empty space is and know exactly why it's there... because I'm missing someone and wishing at that moment they were by my side.

Spiritual Connection

“Rather than basing our relationships primarily on human personality attractions, we tend to be drawn to those with whom we have mutual experiences and significant soul connections.” ~Anna Ellington
sacredbodywork.us
Love is a Spiritual energy.  Passion may arouse and increase enthusiasm, physical pursuits may be momentarily pleasurable, but the deep love energy flowing between two people with a spiritual connection, flows in unspoken words.  A stirring in the heart untouched, the sense inflamed just with a sensory thought of the other. The warmth pouring from the eyes of a loving glance thrown by one to another.  Two souls in perfect synchronicity... spiritually connected and aligned.
Without spiritual bonding there is no deep sensitivity, empathy or understanding.  The two people may be attracted to each other physically but remain thirsted and needful of substantiation.  Love of this type has suppressed energy.
Spiritual love is far more powerful and potent and doesn't require any effort or invention on ones part, for it inspires, warms, regenerates, strengthens, radiates light from within, and fans an eternal flame of love within ones heart. Truly a Spiritual Connection... and a Love of a lifetime.
“The more connections you and your lover make, not just between your bodies, but between your minds, your hearts, and your souls, the more you will strengthen the fabric of your relationship, and the more real moments you will experience together.” ~Barbara De Angelis

I hope I give you Strength.....

“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.” ~ Lao Tzu

You may not see me now
But you know that I am here.
You can feel me in your heart
As you enter each new day.
I will always be there for you
because I am your friend.
Someone to share the bad times
As well as the good.

I make no judgments by what you say
I just listen with my heart and
Hope to be of help in anyway I can.
For now I hope I give you strength.
I will be there for you,
whenever you need me.
And always please remember
I really am your friend!
~ Coreen

True friendship isn't seen with the eyes, it is felt with the heart.
When there is trust, understanding, loyalty, and sharing.
True friendship is a rare feeling, but when it is found
It has profound impact on our well-being, strength, and character.

True friendship does not need elaborate gifts
Or spectacular events in order to be valuable or valued.
To ensure long-lasting quality and satisfaction,
True friendship only needs a few key ingredients:

Undying loyalty, unmatched understanding, unsurpassed trust,
Deep, soulful connection, and endless sharing.
These ingredients, mixed with personality and a sense of humor,
Can make a friendship last a lifetime!

I'll Be Here
I cannot ease your aching heart,
Nor take your pain away;
But let me stay and take your hand
And walk with you today.

I'll listen when you need to talk,
I'll wipe away your tears;
I'll share your worries when they come,
I'll help you face your fears.

I'm here and I will stand by you,
On each hill you have to climb;
So take my hand, let's face the world...
And live just one day at a time.

You're not alone, for I'm still here,
I'll go that extra mile;
And when your grief is easier,
I'll help you learn to smile!

Do you think of me too?

"My thoughts are free to go anywhere, but it's surprising how often they head in your direction." ~ by perez

Do you think of me too?   by Sherry Lynn

As I lay here in bed
I think of you
I begin to wonder
Do you think of me too?

I imagine you're next to me,
Pulling me close,
I feel your kiss,
As you caress my skin.

My heart beats fast,
Pounding louder every second,
I begin to tremble,
As I taste your sweet lips.

I find that I gasp for air,
To replace the breath that you just took away.

My body and soul
Are slipping into a heavenly bliss.
Your hands are touching my every inch,
With such ease and tenderness.

I want this moment to last,
Not one second can escape,
I want to stay in your arms,
But then I suddenly awake.

It was only a dream,
Just a desire,
But in reality,
You have set my heart on fire.

Forever Connected ... By: Silke Wettergren

Opulent Reality

Forever Connected © Silke Wettergren

Every moment we spent together
Has touched our lives, our souls forever
The things that we shared and learned
Is permanent growth that we've earned.

The person that I have grown into today
Did not get there by chance, no way
I am who I am partly because of you
And you are YOU because of me, too.

The changes I see
and what I have learned about me
are a response to how we affected our lives
and what we discover in each others eyes.

It is uncertain if we have to part or one day live together
Either way, we have touched our lives forever!
No matter what the future will show
No matter what we are told.

We are connected on such a deep levels
That no one can remove that, not even the devil.
Our feelings might be different a year from now
But you are part of me forever somehow.

A part of me will always be you
and a part of you will always be me.
no matter what happens, that much is certain
our souls are one until life closes the curtain.

I will love your forever
For worse or for better.

You are tattooed in my heart
And nothing can tear our souls apart.

I will never forget you
For my love is honest and true.

"Some people come into our lives and quickly go.  Some people move our souls to dance.  They awaken us to new understandings with the passing whisper of their wisdom.  Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon.  They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints in our heart, and we are never ever the same." ~ Chicken Soup for the Soul

Love is . . . By D.Pagels.

"One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life: that word is Love." - Sophocles

Love is . . .

Love is a wonderful gift.  It's a present so precious words can barely begin to describe it.

Love is a feeling, the deepest and sweetest of all.  It's incredibly strong and amazingly gentle at the very same time.

It is a blessing that should be counted every day.  It is nourishment for the soul.

It is devotion, constantly letting each person know how supportive its certainty can be.

Love is a heart filled with affection for the most important person in your life.

Love is looking at the special someone who makes your world go around and absolutely loving what you see.

Love gives meaning to one's world and magic to a million hopes and dreams.

It makes the morning shine more brightly and each season seem like it's the nicest one anyone ever had.

Love is an invaluable bond that enriches every good thing in life.  It gives each hug a tenderness, each heart a happiness, each spirit a steady lift.

Love is an invisible connection that is exquisitely felt by those who know the joy, feel the warmth, share the sweetness, and celebrate the gift.

By D.Pagels.

What does 'Love' mean to you?

‎"The world is a great mirror.  It reflects back to you what you are.  If you are loving, if you are friendly, if you are helpful, the world will prove loving and friendly and helpful to you.  The world is what you are." - Thomas Dreier

Love is the emotion of strong affection and personal attachment.

 In philosophical context, love is a virtue representing all of human kindness, compassion, and affection. In religious context, love is not just a virtue, but the basis for all being ("God is love"), and the foundation for all divine law, which most refer to as the Golden Rule.

What does 'Love' mean to you? Here's what it means to me.

First of all, love is Not about you! Did that take you back? Well, it's true! Look at the love that 'most' parents have for their child or children at the moment they are born. When they are totally helpless and can't give anything back... we love that child the moment we see or hold them in our arms. I think this is the purest form of Unconditional love without any thought of ourselves!

"Unconditional love is a term that means to love someone regardless of the loved one's qualities or actions. The paradigm of unconditional love is a mother's love for her newborn."

"Love is, above all else, the gift of oneself." ~ Jean Anouilh

Loving someone only when you get your way or the other person does what you want them to do..... is not unconditional love and certainly not true Love. Accepting them, a child or an adult in your life for who they are; believing in them and supporting them in their dreams and the desires of their heart... is truly Loving them.

Love is to me an overwhelming feeling of warmth, care, kindness, courtesy, generosity, compassion and concern for another persons happiness, safety and well being. Whether that be a child, a spouse, a partner or a friend!

Love is not being selfish or self serving. To me it is the complete opposite infact. It also is not controlling, doing things for manipulation or reacting with anger or violence. Which includes name calling or verbal abuse... no matter what the excuse. These are not ways you treat someone you Love, let alone show your love for them.

When you 'truly' love someone, you want them to be happy. No matter whom that is with or where they go to be happy. From the child wanting to be in the band at school, instead of playing football, and their parents accepting that. To the parent who allows and accept their son or daughter's career or college decision.

I've known young people who got 'disowned' for joining the military after high school. How sad that is?! No matter what their reason for joining, they are doing what they either feel is right or because they feel it is the best way to get training, job experience and or an education. They are making the biggest and bravest decision of their life and deserve not only respect but the love and support of their family and friends.... at the very least!

I've known people who could not do anything to make their parents proud and receive the loving support they so wanted, needed and deserved. All they ever heard was that their grades could have been better, sport performance better, career choice better... the list went on and on. They never felt loved, not even by their own parents. How very sad!

I personally have the example of my middle son moving to Chicago for a great job 2 years ago. It was hard to see him leave and I still miss him a lot. But he is Happy there, so I'm very happy for him and proud of the fact that he took that leap of faith and works so hard toward his goals and Happiness! That is what's important!

My oldest son is in Texas right now working a clinical rotation. He told me last week he likes it there and will be applying for a few jobs in the area after graduation. Again, he is Happy and sees opportunities there... so I am happy for him and will survive the long distance and missing him.. knowing he is going to be Happy. That's what love is all about!  Wanting the other person to be Happy!

On the other hand, I've had friends who have made decisions based on reasons other than career goals or personal happiness. Out of overwhelming responsibilities or family problems and even guilt. In those situations it has been very hard for me to be happy for them or at peace with their decision.

No matter if it's a family member or a friend, I know it's really none of my business. However I have cared for these people and feel sadness for each of these situations just the same. If I thought they were happy or could be happy in their move or decision, then I of course would be happy for them also. So I pray for them to find happiness... No matter where that happiness is for them or no matter who that happiness is with. To me that is True Love...!

"Love means making the other person happy, even from a distance." -Submitted by Middream

Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous;
love does not brag and is not arrogant or rude;
does not act unbecoming and is not selfish;
is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,
does not rejoice in unrighteousness or evil, but rejoices with the truth;  it bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
"It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
"Love never fails...But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is Love."~1 Corinthians 13:4-7,13

For a great book on communicating love to someone practically, try the best book I know on that subject The Five Love Languages by Gary Smalley    Below, he gives this simple explanation of this famous Bible passage and quotes and is not meant to be a technical commentary.

Love is patient,

True love is unconditional, that is, it does not depend on the attributes or lack there of the person loved, therefore, it is willing to give as much time necessary, and as much space as necessary for that person to grow.

love is kind and is not jealous;

Love seeks to give others something of benefit for their welfare, and consequently, rejoices when they do benefit.

love does not brag and is not arrogant;

To lift one's self up in reference to others leaves no room for unconditional, graceful love.

does not act unbecoming and is not selfish;

To act inappropriately, shamefully (morally, especially in the area of sexual purity) is not in accordance with true love. Love never seeks it's own gratification but rather the interests of others.

is not provoked,

Selfishness seeks to manipulate others by stimulating certain selfish emotions. Love will not do this to others, nor will it let it happen to itself.

does not take into account a wrong suffered,

Forgiveness. Let it go. Bitterness is the acid. You are the container. Get rid of it or it will kill you.

does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;

Love does not somehow gloss over things that are going to be hurtful. True love originates from the truth.

bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

If love really is unconditional, it will hold any weight, face any doubt, persist through hopelessness, and last any trial

Love never fails...

If it did, would it be love?

But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Someday, faith will not be needed, for we will see God. Hope will not be needed, for when everything is fulfilled, there is no need for hope. But love, yes, to it there will be no end. If it did, it wouldn't be love.

~ The Five Love Languages books series by Gary Smalley

One last note:
A smile - is a sign of joy.
A hug - is a sign of love.
A laugh - is a sign of happiness.

And a friend like you??
Well...that's just a sign of good taste!!

Love you all more than you know!
~ Coreen
