Passionate toward your future?

"Everyone can rise above their circumstances and achieve success if they are dedicated to and passionate about what they do."~Nelson Mandela
passionate-sean-howard-photography
Are you passionate toward your future? No matter the circumstances of someone's past experiences or current situations, everyone has dreams of a better future.  From having a better job; a bigger house; a better relationship... the list goes on.

There is work involved in creating any kind of change.  To get that life you dream of, you need to set the needed steps into motion, do the work involved, and make things happen that will move  you toward the future you want.
"The hear of human excellence often begins to beat when you discover a pursuit that absorbs you, frees you, challenges you, and gives you a sense of meaning, joy, purpose and passion."~unknown
We all need to find something or someone that awakens a passion within us.  When someone is passionate about what they want, it's much easier to find the time... energy... motivation and dedication to follow through to fulfill their dreams and desires.

Close your eyes and visualize the future you most desire.  How much does it look like your current life?  What can you do right now to bring these dreams to life?  It is within you reach.  Start to make it happen - you can do it!
"There is no passion to be found in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living."~unknown

"Your voice is your tool and represents you.  It's important to have a good circle of friends where you can use your voice, be understood and supported."
"One piece of log creates a small fire, adequate to warm you up; add just a few more pieces to blast an immense bonfire, large enough to warm up your entire circle of friends; needless to say that individuality counts but team work dynamites."~Jin Kwon

Do you need something?

To the person who visits my blog a lot:  Can you please let me know if you need anything?

I feel you are looking for strength and hope when you read my post.  However, you've visited so often and for such a long time without reaching out; that I believe you're in a bad place or situation.  Please know that I won't judge and that you can trust me if you contact me.

I would really appreciate hearing from you in some way.  Maybe I can help you find some direction or just be a friend who listens.  I'm praying for you, who ever you are.

When We Share

worldphotocollections.blogspot.com

When We Share...  poet unknown

When we share laughter, there's twice the fun;
When we share success, we surpass what we've done.

When we share problems, there's half the pain;
When we share tears, a rainbow follows rain.

When we share dreams, they become more real;
When we share secrets, it's our hearts we reveal.

If we share a smile, then our love shows;
If we share a hug, then our love grows.

If we share with someone on whom we depend,
That person becomes family or friend.

And what draws us closer and makes us all care,
Is not what we have, but the things that we share.

Live a Life that Counts

"If you're not doing something with your life, then it doesn’t matter how long you live. If you're doing something with your life, then it doesn't matter how short your life may be. A life is not measured by years lived, but by its usefulness. If you are giving, loving, serving, helping, encouraging, and adding value to others, then you're living a life that counts!" ~John C. Maxwell

Words To Live By
It's not how much you accomplish in life that really counts,
but how much you give to other.

It's not how high you build your dreams that makes a difference,
but how high your faith can climb.

It's not how many goals you reach,
but how many lives you touch.

It's not who you know that matters,
but who you are inside.

Believe in the impossible,
hold tight to the incredible,
and live each day to its fullest potential.
You can make a difference in your world.

New Beginnings...

New Beginnings by Gertrude B. McClain

It's only the beginning now
...a pathway yet unknown
At times the sound of other steps
...sometimes we walk alone

The best beginnings of our lives
May sometimes end in sorrow
But even on our darkest days
The sun will shine tomorrow.

So we must do our very best
Whatever life may bring
And look beyond the winter chill
To smell the breath of spring.

Into each life will always come
A time to start anew
A new beginning for each heart
As fresh as morning dew.

Although the cares of life are great
And hands are bowed so low
The storms of life will leave behind
The wonder of a rainbow.

The years will never take away
Our chance to start anew
It's only the beginning now
So dreams can still come true.

Courage to Follow your Dreams

"Courage is rightly esteemed the first of human qualities... because it is the quality which guarantees all others." ~Winston Churchill
successsystemsnow.com

Courage (also known as bravery) is the ability to confront fear, pain, danger, uncertainty, or intimidation. "Physical courage" is courage in the face of physical pain, hardship, death, or threat of death, while "moral courage" is the ability to act rightly in the face of popular opposition, shame, scandal, or discouragement.

I feel that Courage is the quality of both our mind and spirit that enables us to face those difficult, dangerous, painful times in our lives, in spite of fear... not neccesarily without it.  I also believe that to have the courage of one's convictions, to act in accordance with one's beliefs, especially in spite of criticism... is the greatest character quality of all.

"It is curious--curious that physical courage should be so common in the world, and moral courage so rare." ~Mark Twain

 Reaching Your Dream Takes Courage

Courage is admitting that you're afraid and facing that fear directly. It's being strong enough to ask for help and humble enough to accept it.
Courage is standing up for what you believe in without worrying about the opinions of others. It's following your own heart, living your own life, and settling for nothing less than the best for yourself.
Courage is daring to take a first step, a big leap, or a different path. It's attempting to do something that no one has done before and all others thought impossible.
Courage is keeping heart in the face of disappointment and looking at defeat not as an end but as a new beginning. It's believing that things will ultimately get better even as they get worse.
Courage is being responsible for your own actions and admitting your own mistakes without placing blame on others. It's relying not on others for your success, but on your own skills and efforts.
Courage is refusing to quit even when you're intimidated by impossibility. It's choosing a goal, sticking with it, and finding solutions to the problems.
Courage is thinking big, aiming high, and shooting far.
It's taking a dream and doing anything, risking everything, and stopping at nothing to make it a reality.

"All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." ~Walt Disney
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Time to Make a Change?

"Life makes no guarantees as to what you'll have.  It just gives you time to make choices and to take chances and to discover whatever secrets might come your way." ~ Deanna Beisser
networkers-online.com
It’s Never Too Late to Make a Change

At any time, you can decide to change the road you’re on in life, take a new direction, follow a new trail. You are the only one who really knows what you want from life and if you’re on the right road for you. You are the only one who can fulfill your dreams and receive the joys and happiness that come from reaching those aspirations and goals.

Don’t expect others to be responsible for your happiness and your success. You must take control and be in charge of your destiny and day-to-day situations. Take advice (most of the time it’s free!) and listen to what others have to say and what concerns they have; it’s important to have different points of view. But always validate those words of wisdom with your own set of standards and make sure that the advice has meaning to your sense of reality.

You must understand yourself enough to know what you want in life and what desires you believe are worthwhile for your future. You need to depend upon yourself and your talents. Appreciate others for their personal skills and abilities, but always continue to focus on your own strengths and energies. Life is much too short to spend it worrying about someone else’s accomplishments or expecting someone else to be responsible for making your life better.

If you have dreams, then you have a purpose. You have something to believe in and work toward obtaining. Dedicate yourself to yourself. Promise yourself a life filled with love, and then whatever roads you travel will be the roads you want them to be.

Don't Ever Give Up!

“Don't ever give up on something or someone that you can't go a full day without thinking about.” ~ author unkown

http://www.blingcheese.com/image/code/9/love+dreams.htm

Don't give Up!
Your Dreams May Be Closer
Than You Think!

There may be times when you feel
as if you have taken a million steps towards
your dreams, and acted on your plans, only to find
yourself in the same place that you began from.
At times like this, you must not give up.
You must continue on. Though you may feel
lost, bewildered, and alone, continue to believe
in yourself. Do not allow discouragement and
doubt to blur your vision and wash away
your dreams. Visualize your way beyond the
detours, standstills, and obstacles.

You will realize your dreams. You have
worked hard and taken so many productive
steps in a positive direction that you are bound
to succeed. Whatever the hurt of the moment
may be, it will pass. Tomorrow is always a
new dawn. Today, you must pause, rest, catch
your breath, and then look ahead. Each step
will bring you closer to your dreams. The
rainbows and the love that you deserve are in
sight. Happiness is just around the next turn.

Be True to Your Heart... and Follow It

"Follow your heart, but be quiet for a while first. Ask questions, then feel the answer. Learn to trust your heart.” ~ author unknown

TractorsRSeXy7

A few years ago I finally started listening to my heart.  There is wisdom in each of our hearts and the importance of listening to one's heart and accepting the answers is vital to being happy.

Do you wonder about the depth of your heart? Do you let your heart lead the way, or do you usually let your head make the decisions for you? Have you encountered situations whereby your mind told you one thing but your heart said otherwise?

Do you feel happier when you follow your heart? Do you let your heart take you down a path where your mind would be against?

If you are one who wants to follow your heart but are fearful of the risks you'll be taking, I hope this poem and series of heart quotes will shed some light on the wisdom of your heart...  courtesy of thinkexist.com

Be True to Your Heart
And Your Dreams Will Come True

Stay true to all your beliefs and goals.
Stand tall.

Through all life's setbacks and disappointments,
your dreams will come true.

When no one else is with you,
and no one seems to care,
just whisper to yourself,

"I am the controller of my destiny.
It's up to me what comes to pass,
and if I keep my thoughts positive and strong,
my dreams will come true."

When what seem to be impossible obstacles
stand in your way, just think of all the times
you got through yesterday.

There is a place for you in this world.
Stay on your chosen path.

All the power is within you;
be true to what is in your heart.

Be honest within yourself;
if you are, then you cannot fail.
Your dreams will come true.

Do you think of me too?

"My thoughts are free to go anywhere, but it's surprising how often they head in your direction." ~ by perez

Do you think of me too?   by Sherry Lynn

As I lay here in bed
I think of you
I begin to wonder
Do you think of me too?

I imagine you're next to me,
Pulling me close,
I feel your kiss,
As you caress my skin.

My heart beats fast,
Pounding louder every second,
I begin to tremble,
As I taste your sweet lips.

I find that I gasp for air,
To replace the breath that you just took away.

My body and soul
Are slipping into a heavenly bliss.
Your hands are touching my every inch,
With such ease and tenderness.

I want this moment to last,
Not one second can escape,
I want to stay in your arms,
But then I suddenly awake.

It was only a dream,
Just a desire,
But in reality,
You have set my heart on fire.

Whatever you give out in life is what you receive back in life... by: Rhonda Byrne

“Love life and life will love you back. Love people and they will love you back.” ~Arthur Rubinstein
The life of your dreams, everything you would love to be, do or have, has always been closer to you than you knew, because the power to everything you want is inside you!

Love is not weak, feeble, or soft.  Love is the positive force of life!  Love is the cause of everything positive and good.

Everything you want to be, do, or have comes from love.

The positive force of love can create anything good, increase the good things and change anything negative in your life.

Every day, in every moment, you make the choice whether to love and harness the positive force -or not.
Whatever you give out in life is what you receive back in life.

Give positivity, you receive back positivity; give negativity, you receive back negativity.

Life doesn't happen to you; you receive everything in your life based in what you're given.

Whether your thoughts and feelings are good or bad, they return as automatically and precisely as an echo.

Talk about the good news of the day.  Talk about what you love.  And bring what you love to you.

Love, because when you love... you are using the greatest power in the universe.

Picture your Dreams

"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." - Eleanor Roosevelt

In '8 to Great', motivational speaker for positive change MK Mueller writes this to describe Highway 1: Get the Picture

Visualizing the outcome until it feels good is the first step to any dream or goal. Once you’re clear on your destination, keep thinking about it until you can get excited by what it will be like. Then, from that good-feeling place, the next step will reveal itself as surely as the next yellow brick showed up on Dorothy’s road to Oz. Visualize yourself getting the diploma, driving the new car, or laughing with loved ones. It’ll take you straight to “95” on the Power Pyramid. ~ MK Mueller

Many times we say we want something so badly.  Getting that great job; going on the vacation or winning a sporting event.  However, have you ever noticed that if you can't 'picture' yourself in those situations or 'crossing the finish line', then it doesn't happen.  We have to picture what we want in our mind, to the point of 'feeling' it!
"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined." ~ Henry David Thoreau
I kept saying that I wanted to sell my house.  I cleaned and painted..... nothing, no offers!  Then someone asked me at an '8 to Great' training if I had 'pictured' a 'SOLD" sign in my yard.  Well, no I hadn't.  So did I really want to sell my house or had I not put the right 'picture; in my head and heart.  It was the second answer.

I've said I wanted a Great man to come into my life.  However, until I could actually 'pictured' myself with a Great guy, in a Great relationship, being treated Great.... I kept getting asked out by 'not so great' men.  Not anymore!

I believe that because of my changes in myself over the last 2 years, I don't attract the 'not so great' types anymore.  Which is 'Great' with me!

Next time when you say you want something, picture it to the point of 'feeling' like it has already happened or been achieved.  Try it, then see your 'dreams' come true.

This Week's Goal to turn Passions & Dreams into Reality

Another Great Share from my friend, Mark Ford @ www.ffgroupconsulting.com

?The one thing that separates winners from losers is that winners take action.?- Tony Robbins
This Week's Goal:

You can only turn your passions and dreams into reality by setting and reaching your goals. Decide what you want, what you're going to do to get it, write it down and start doing it! Don't take it lightly, live your life "on purpose."
 Make it a GREAT week!

Happy Monday, Everyone!  Well, from previous post most of you know that I have decided what I want:  To Help People.  I'm taking classes and training to be able to reach more people and get my message across in the most professional and polished way (hopefully). :-)  I wrote down my goals and taped them up on my desk, car visor and refrigerator.  Here is my Specific Goal for the week:  To finish reading all the material I received from the trainings I registered for next month.  To really understand all of it, or find the understanding if I need to.

So how about my blogging friends:  What are your goals for the week and what are you going to do to reach them?  :-)

Turning Anger & Frustration into Determination

I didn't grow up with much encouragement or emotional support.    I was the type of child that needed someone to believe in me.  Say I could do this or do that.  That I should go for my dream of being an architect or whatever I wanted.  That I could do anything!  However I didn't and settled for accepting what life had to offer that was right in front of me or easy to obtain.  Jobs that I was offered or seemed to come along at a convenient time.  Friends that were close by or dates with men that seemed decent and worked out with the rest of my life at the time.

In the past few years I've had a change of opinion and attitude about all of those situations.  In fact, I've finally became angry with myself for just accepting some of them.  I believe in my sons and encourage them to do whatever they need to.  To succeed, be happy, to follow their dreams.  Whether it was convenient, the cheapest school, or the closest job, didn't matter.  What was best for them is what mattered!

My oldest son went all over the country to compete and become part of the United States Powerlifting team and compete over seas 4 times.  He later attended college in Louisiana because of the powerlifting team there and a scholarship.  It was a great experience for him and one year from now he will become a Physical Therapist.  Moving whereever is the best place for him to start his new amazing life.

My middle son moved to Chicago to follow his dream of being a graphic designer.  He has flourished there!  Made artistic friends, continued school, gotten a new job with a large company and is going to Italy and Greece this fall with his art class.  He is living his dreams and I am so happy for him!

My youngest son is my triple miracle!  He was conceived after having my tubes tied.  Survived after a car accident I was in during my pregnancy.  Survived after being 10 weeks premature and is now succeeding in college with a diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome at the age of 11.  By a specialist that said he may never get better and teachers at the time that gave up on his even graduating high school.  All of them were wrong of course.  He is a Hugh success and my 'miracle' many times over!

Now to why I am angry with myself.  I'm not happy and it's no ones fault but my own.  I want a job where I can learn, flourish and grow.  But I've stayed where I'm at because it's close to where I live and it's convenient with my youngest son attending college close by.  However, I'm frustrated because I know it will never grow into what my dreams and aspirations are.   I'm also bored with my social life.  Actually frustrated with the fact that I don't make more of an effort to meet higher quality men.  I have continued to settle for what's easy and convenient in regards to the type of men who ask me out and dating in general.  Again, that's my own fault and only I can change that.

I've made a choice to put my life in a new direction.  I'm making plans and going to follow through, no matter how much effort and inconvenious it's all going to cause.   I'm unhappy and frustrated with my current situations and angry with myself for not doing something sooner.  So I've decided to use that anger and frustrated 'energy' and put it toward 'determination' in following my own dreams and asperations.  Starting today!  Because it's never too late and it's about time! :-)
